The meeting is June 8 at 7:30 PM at Humble Monk Brewing.
We will have a discussion led by our esteemed high-ranking BJCP Judges about all things pale ales. Of course there will be some to sample (and probably a lot of sharing of pale ales and India pale ales and beers labeled as such that may or may not be what they claim to be) at the meeting.
The meeting is May 11 at 7:30 PM at Queen City Clay. Note the parking areas and entrance locations below (although the southernmost arrow should be facing west/left, not north).
We will be heading to Humble Monk for our June meeting – look for more specifics in next month’s email.
We will have a discussion of how to evaluate beers and performing a best of show for any homebrew brought to the meeting. The top three beers as determined by our esteemed panel of BJCP National Judges will receive a gift card and the first place beer may be brewed at Humble Monk.
If you plan on entering:
The meeting is April 13 at 7:30 PM at Queen City Clay. Note the parking areas and entrance locations below (although the southernmost arrow should be facing west/left, not north).

SODZ British Beer Fest (Columbus)
This is our annual tradition of a Sweet 16 (Hoppy 16? Malty 16?) where we put 8 homebrews against 8 commercial beers and YOU decide which beer moves forward until we have a winner.
The meeting is March 9 at 7:30 PM at Queen City Clay. Note the parking areas and entrance locations below (although the southernmost arrow should be facing west/left, not north).
The April meeting will be a best of show beer – the winning three beers will receive a gift card and the first place beer may be brewed at Listermann as part of their Homebrew Pilot Program (if you aren’t aware of this, read on!). Now is a great time to brew for this!
Listermann has recently started a program where they tap a collaboration with a homebrew club (Malt Infusers and Bloatarians) monthly on a Friday. These are announced via our Facebook group and through various social media channels from us/Bloats and Listermann. These beers rarely last past the day they are tapped.

What happened when a tired brewer came in for his shift and accidentally dropped his donut into an imperial stout mash? The first pastry stout was born! That story likely isn’t true at all, but we’re going to drink and discuss what happens when someone throws a bunch of sweet adjuncts into a stout!
The meeting is February 9 at 7:30 PM at Queen City Clay. Note the parking areas and entrance locations below (although the southernmost arrow should be facing west/left, not north).
We will be selling raffle tickets for a new Brewer’s Best ZyBorg 35L Automatic Brewing System at $10 per ticket. This will be raffled off during the All American Homebrew Competition judging ON 2/4/2023. If you can’t be at the competition, there is still some time to enter by sending $10 per entry via PayPal (treasurer@maltinfusers.com).
