First 40 judges to enter receive a ticket to Cincy Winter Beerfest evening session.
Mark your calendars and plan to join your Malt Infuser friends on Saturday December 2nd at 6 pm at the Norwood Community Center. Family welcome.
Bring a side dish and some home brew to share. Pulled pork on or off the bun will be available.
Door prizes will be given. Tickets to members only, but you can join, or renew right there. Door prizes will include a Blickman Beer gun, a sack of grain (not a sack of coal), and a few others. Must be present to win.
Also there will be an optional White Elephant Beer Exchange. Bring a wrapped 6 pack of craft beer (or a comparably priced 4 pack) to get in the exchange.

CMI president Michael (Chico) Florez has an article published this month in the AHA magazine “Zymurgy”. In the section, “Club News”, Michael describes our club project and how we accomplished this. Congratulations to Michael for coming up with the project and writing a great article.
The article starts: We started with the premise that our club has some very good brewers. Several members of the Cincinnati Malt Infusers (CMI) have won Best of Show awards in local and regional competitions. Since its inception in 1994, we have between 45 and 60 members annually. However, only one CMI member has won at the AHA’s National Homebrew Competition (NHC). We planned to change that.

Topic of the evening: Fall Seasonal Beers and Pie night
If you have made any fall seasonal beers, please bring them to share.
These will be paired with an apple pie, a pecan pie and a Pumpkin Tres Leches cake.
Be hungry! because there will be plenty of pie to go around.
As always, there will be an eye popping raffle.

Annual Christmas party will be on December 2nd – at Saturday night. Family welcome.
Dues for next year will be due in January- $ 15 per person or $20 for family. Encourage your friends and family to share in our club.
Our next competition at the Winter Beer Fest is earlier this year – the first Saturday in February: February 3rd at the Convention Center. Please start brewing now for your entries. The competitions are our biggest fund raisers of the year, so we need all the beer and help we can get to make these events successful. Judging, stewarding and any other help is appreciated. More information to follow in the upcoming months.
BJCP classes are a great way to increase your knowledge. A new series of classes to help prepare you for the judging exam will begin in the late winter. Will and Katherine will be shortening the series and will be available to discuss this at our upcoming meetings.
