The Cincinnati Malt Infusers Christmas Party will be on December 14 at 6:00 PM at Queen City Clay. Please join us for an evening of fellowship, food, and general beery fun!
Bringing a dish to share – the main course will be provided
Bring a wrapped beer gift to exchange – something you’d like to receive as a gift. Could be a 4 or 6 pack or 1-3 bombers.
We will have some very special cellared beers to enjoy
Join us on November 14 at 7:30pm at Queen City Clay to talk about beer blending. Blending has been around for centuries, and is commonly used with sour beers (many true Lambic beers are blends of multiple years and barrels), barrel aged beers (to smooth flavors), and mixes like shandies (England) and radlers (Germany) (interesting article discussing shandies going back at least as far as 1842 and radlers in 1922).
Park in one of the parking areas noted below in blue and enter the building via one of the doors marked at the red arrows.
Save the Date!

Competitions
Oktobersbest is this Saturday, October 12 at Braxton Brewing in Covington. We can still take judges and stewards.
Beer for Boobs is October 19 at Parson’s North Brewery in Columbus, Ohio.
At the July meeting, fourteen homebrewers drafted ingredients to make a beer – a yeast, a base malt, two specialty malts, two hops, and one wildcard ingredient. This year’s theme is “Road Trip”, so the wildcard ingredients were candy and snacks that could be found at nearly every gas station mini-mart. Candies included Twizzlers, Circus Peanuts, Junior Mints, Butterfingers, Peach Rings, Twix, and Werther’s Original; snacks were Pringles, Gardetto’s Snack Mix, Rice Cakes, Pretzel Bites, and Beef Jerky.
These beers will be judged by all members and guests in attendance for a crowd favorite award. They will also be judged by a panel of BJCP judges for a style award.
The meeting will be held on September 12 at 7:30pm at Queen City Clay. Come prepared to enjoy these beers and help decide the crowd favorite. See the diagram below for where to park and enter. Feel free to bring homebrew or other beers to share!
Note that the Norwood Lateral is closed in the westbound direction!
From Four Mile Wine, who presented about mead back in October 2022:
Some people may know 4 Mile Wine Co. home base is at the Camp Springs Tavern in Camp Springs, KY, but we’ve recently expanded into a few retail places across NKY (listed below) and we are trying to get the word out most effectively. We also just received our permit to self distribute to Ohio and are looking at places to get with. Jungle Jims is one we would love to get into. If anyone has recommendations / or connections we would be grateful to hear them.
